Made with acrylic paint and Faber Castell marker on bristol paper (using stencils)

This piece was inspired by a video about sexual assault that I saw online one day. I decided that I wanted to take a stand on the objectification of people of all genders and how wrong it is to be seen as more of a prize or something that others are entitled to. The barcodes, tags, and numbers on the people signify the wrongness of seeing people as inanimate things that exist for the pleasure of others. Like my other works, I wanted to portray this in a graffiti style which is common in expressing opinions or bold statements to society. This time, I used stenciling images rather than a freehand to make the image more realistic first impression on the viewer. I wanted people to see this image and deem it as normal, but upon closer inspection, they see something is off.
