The objective of the project was to create a composition that demonstrates hierarchal scale using four rectangles and a line.
The first would only be using grayscale shapes and placement. The second composition would replace those shapes with text, therefore by using alignment and spacing, along with different letterforms, it would mimic the first composition by not changing the hierarchy. The next version would require the addition of a maximum of 3 colors and use them so that the hierarchy stays the same.
In the last composition, the challenge was to shift the hierarchy without changing the design.
